Most couples book Seventh Vow 12 to 18 months before their wedding date. We take on a limited number of weddings each year, so earlier enquiries give you the best chance of securing your date. Saturdays from October through April — peak wedding season in Sydney — tend to fill first. If your date is within six months, it is still worth reaching out, as last-minute availability does occasionally open up. We respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.

Seventh Vow is based in Caringbah in Sydney's south and covers all of Greater Sydney, the Wollongong, the Wollongong, and the NSW South Coast. We also travel regularly for weddings across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. International and regional travel is quoted individually per enquiry — we are genuinely happy to go wherever your wedding takes you, and have photographed celebrations from the Blue Mountains to Bali.

Documentary wedding photography is the practice of capturing your wedding day exactly as it unfolds — without staging moments, directing poses, or manufacturing emotions. At Seventh Vow, we observe and react rather than direct. The result is honest, natural imagery that reflects who you actually are on the most important day of your lives. We do occasionally guide couples for a small number of considered portraits, but the foundation of our work is always observation and presence.

Yes. Seventh Vow offers wedding photography, cinematic wedding films, and combined photography and film packages. Our films are narrative-driven short documentaries — not highlight reels — edited with music and ambient sound captured on the day. When photography and film are booked together, both deliverables share a unified visual language and are produced by the same team, ensuring consistency across every frame.

Wedding galleries are typically delivered within eight to twelve weeks of your wedding date. You will receive a private online gallery of all full-resolution images, ready to download, share, and send to print anywhere in the world. We deliver every gallery personally and are always available to answer questions about your images after delivery. Rush delivery can be discussed at the time of booking.

Most full-day galleries contain between 400 and 800 carefully selected and edited images. The exact count depends on the length of coverage and the nature of your day. Every image we deliver meets our editing standard — we do not pad galleries with near-duplicates or throwaway frames. You will receive a curated, complete record of your day, with each photograph worthy of printing and keeping.

Vitor Duarte is the photographer. He personally photographs every Seventh Vow wedding — the studio is not an agency and does not assign associates. Before the wedding you will have a detailed conversation with Vitor about your day, your venue, and what matters most to you. By the time the wedding arrives, you will already know the person behind the camera, which is exactly how it should be.

Look at full galleries, not just highlight reels. A curated twelve-image portfolio tells you very little about the consistency of someone's work across an entire day. Ask whether the photographer shoots every wedding personally or assigns associates. Look for consistent editing — true skin tones, natural light — rather than over-processed results that will date quickly. And pay attention to how they communicate: your photographer will be with you all day, and the relationship matters as much as the portfolio.
